You know you're a NEWBIE if:
You're brand new to raw food or just a few months in
Your knowledge and experience of raw food is limited (but you want to know more)
You don't really know what to do next after trying out a few simple recipes
Being a newbie to raw foods can be both very exciting and overwhelming all at once! You know you want to try raw food, but you just don’t know what you need to know, and also where to start.
You just want someone to take you by the hand and show you what to do and how to do it, and be there to answer all of those first questions that you will undoubtedly be asking. The good news is, it’s available for you here.
You see, I was once where you are today, and perhaps surprisingly, it was actually much easier back then, because quite simply there were far less choices and much less information around! Because there were less people doing it and hardly any books on the raw food – let alone raw food recipe books – I really had to figure it out for myself. But figure it out I did.
That was back in 1993 and I was just 20 years old then, and a complete raw food rookie, and yet I managed to find a way of eating high-raw that was healthy, nutritious, delicious and satisfying, and I very quickly fell in love with this amazing new way of eating and the way it made me feel. If you're not already in that "in love" place yet, then trust me, you will be very soon!
STEP 1: Your first priority as a newbie is to get a good overview of what a day or week on raw food looks like and involves, and to try it for yourself. This will give you a really good feel for the difference that you can see and feel in your body over the course of a good few days and to really get how powerful raw food is. Important note: All raw food diets are not created equal so you'll want to follow one that's as easy, quick and simple as possible. So you're definitely in the right place!
RECOMMENDED ACTION STEP: Download your free copy of "Go Raw For a Day" if you haven't done so already, and also seriously consider investing in a copy of "Go Raw For a Week" so that you have a whole week's plan in a downloadable and printable format complete with 27 recipes. Having a 7-day plan will save you masses of time and energy trying to figure out what to eat (it contains only meals and drinks that are quick, easy and delicious). It will also enable you to make great progress very quickly and get powerful results (the recipes are very clean), and it will teach you how to handle the most common early issues such as eating out socially and eating raw during the colder seasons. This eBook is full of recipes that I've been eating and enjoying for over 20 years - true classics that taste delicious, take just a few minutes to make, never date and always get results.
STEP 2: Once you've got used to eating more raw food and you know you want to take things further, you'll then want a better understanding of what really works for you (i.e. personalisation) AND how to be successful with it as an ongoing lifestyle. This is an exciting time because you'll be at the point where you know you're onto something special, and you'll likely be hungry for as much information as possible - but you need to find a way for it to work for YOU and your unique life and circumstances.
RECOMMENDED ACTION STEP: Gift yourself the ultimate education by joining "Go Raw with Karen" - a 6-week online group program that gives you all of the information, inspiration, support, guidance and community that you need to be successful. This is THE definitive step-by-step go raw program that provides everything you need to be successful for both the short- and long-term PLUS you get my personal support and guidance along the way.
STEP 3: As you get more and more into raw food you'll want to learn as much as possible in order to have an easy, delicious and enjoyable transition. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet today, so please be aware that not everything you read is necessarily accurate or true!
