Being a newbie to raw foods can be both very exciting and overwhelming all at once! You know you want to try raw food, but you just don’t know what you need to know, and also where to start.

You just want someone to take you by the hand and show you what to do and how to do it, and be there to answer all of those first questions that you will undoubtedly be asking. The good news is, it’s available for you here.

You see, I was once where you are today, and perhaps surprisingly, it was actually much easier back then, because quite simply there were far less choices and much less information around! Because there were less people doing it and hardly any books on the raw food – let alone raw food recipe books – I really had to figure it out for myself. But figure it out I did.

That was back in 1993 and I was just 20 years old then, and a complete raw food rookie, and yet I managed to find a way of eating high-raw that was healthy, nutritious, delicious and satisfying, and I very quickly fell in love with this amazing new way of eating and the way it made me feel. If you're not already in that "in love" place yet, then trust me, you will be very soon!

What You Need to Know

STEP 1: Your first priority as a newbie is to get a good overview of what a day or week on raw food looks like and involves, and to try it for yourself. This will give you a really good feel for the difference that you can see and feel in your body over the course of a good few days and to really get how powerful raw food is. Important note: All raw food diets are not created equal so you'll want to follow one that's as easy, quick and simple as possible. So you're definitely in the right place!
